Hi! I’m Gregory John Monroe. Everyone who knows me calls me Greg. You can too. I appreciate you taking the time to check out my blog, Hope you enjoy it.
I was raised in and currently live in Jacksonville, Florida. However, I was born in Chicago, Illinois many… many moons ago. I was born again in 2001 on Thanksgiving day!
The details that brought me to that point aren’t all that important. Suffice it to say that all my “confident” living before then finally brought me to what I’ve always known to be inevitable—relenting to the One who was always waiting for me. It was crazy that I didn’t go to Him sooner. After all, for decades, in solitary moments, I had often cried because I sensed the beauty of His call, and felt the brightness of His wonderful presence. I cried because I knew, during those times, that I was not going to let go of my ways, though I desperately wanted to. But I’m with God now, and I thank Him that I didn’t
die before coming to Him.
Since then, the Lord has blessed me with a great spiritual family by whom I’ve been nurtured and have grown. They even trusted me to serve as a deacon, and though I no longer serve in that capacity, I continue to serve as a prayer warrior.
My passion to serve extends to both believers and unbelievers by sharing my thoughts and experiences; teaching the revelations of God; and preaching the gospel of Christ Jesus. In line with that, I consider myself to be – for it is so for each and every believer – a minister of God, a self-proclaimed evangelist (II Cor. 5: 18, 19).
This blog is in line with that. And as such, I hope to be able to post at least 3 times a week (Mon., Wed., Fri).
My relationship with the Lord also impressed me to write my first book. It’s published as The Three Angels’ Message: God’s End-Time Warning.
You’ll see it advertised on the blog site. It is, I kid you not, a must read for all who are followers of Jesus. The book highlights a salvation issue – worship – that contrasts the commands of God and the man-made traditions of man.
