If you’re a Christian who is feeling hurt right now for whatever reason, please remember that just such a situation is an occasion for the enemy to make a move against you. Satan and his minions will seek to gain a foothold into your life by encouraging you to drown in a sense of abandonment and to doubt your faith.
I know that When feeling pain it can be hard to clearly see what’s going on, and even feel God’s love; but take that as a sign that a change is about to happen. Look at the pain as a test. For in the midst of all our troubles, we either get stronger or weaker in our relationship with the Lord.
And don’t hold it against your fellow Christians if they fail to come through with help in a way you’d like. If they don’t, that kind of action would be no strange thing. When Jesus was arrested, His close friends and disciples ran away. However, Jesus didn’t despair about it. Instead, He took solace in knowing that God loved Him and hadn’t forgotten Him. Jesus within can impart that same faith to you. Let Him.
As His child, God will not forsake you. Take faith in His promise that He has a plan for you (Jeremiah 29: 11). Rejoice in that and turn to and draw from Christ’s power. Ask Him to be able do what the psalmist says in Psalm 27: 14- “Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.”
Say that in the midst of your heartbreak and the following can happen: increased strength; enough so to be able to join with Job in saying,“But God knows the way that I take. When He has tried me, I will come forth as gold” (Job 23: 10).
