This is The Day

Wake up today,
decide to have a good day
rejoice and be glad in it
let Jesus show you the way.
Dress up today,
put a smile on your face
don’t worry what to wear
let God clothe you in His grace.
Stand up today,
trust what you believe in
don’t be weary of doing good
lest you fall into sin.
Look up today,
faith makes all things bright
don’t let your fears and doubt
outshine the future glorious light.
Reach up today,
get in touch with something higher
trust God in all your ways
let His power set you on fire.
Lift up today,
raise up your hands in prayer
sing to God your praises
then let Him have your cares!
