God appears to be a composite of male and female. The Bible says both were made in His image. The most interesting thing to me, though, is that both are called man. So a true man can’t be limited to being what we call a male. In God’s sight, a male and female together is one man. So if God were to be thought of as having a gender, wouldn’t He have to be called “man” without it being sexist?
Genesis 1:27
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Genesis 5:2
He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created.

You know, it sure would be nice; no great, if God talked to me as it seems He did to those in the Bible days. I’m talking actually being able to hear His voice. But apparently, that’s not the way He chooses to generally communicate in our times.
Nonetheless, although I’ve never literally heard Him in my head, I do hear Him through Christian radio or TV messages, or in the verbal or printed counsel from a godly person.
Mainly, though, I’m grateful for the availability of His written word. From it, He talks to me all the time. I may be a little hardheaded about some of the things He tells me, but I do hear.
