From Hebrews 2: 5-8, we know that for a little while humanity has been made a little lower than the angels. Though that all changes when Jesus comes back for us and we receive our new bodies. At that point our Father’s original intent for us is restored, and we will go about our appointed tasks of being in charge of God’s creation; as all things will be put under the subjection of our feet.
The word “all” is translated from the Greek word “Pas”, which literally means “everything.” I know we can’t now see all that entails, but to me “everything” means the entire created universe.
I imagine we’ll be managing planets, galaxies, the whole bit. This would be accomplished through the capacity of our glorified bodies that should be the same as Jesus’ glorified body. For it is said we will be like Him.
Being like Him in glory, and sharing in that glory, would also mean having been given the reward of wisdom and the creative abilities to fulfill our responsibilities.
We would also be unlimited by time and space, able to enter any point along the length of those two dimensions, and traverse the universe’s expanse by probably the simplicity and speed of thought.
In this new life, we will not be God to these other worlds, in which there probably will be sentient beings. The Trinity will always be the authority and in control. We will be the righteousness of God; His representatives; completing His work in the physical universe.
Obviously, I’m speculating here based on a supposedly reasoned definition of what “all” and “everything” put under our feet means. I do not presume to be certain, for our eyes have not seen, nor our ears have heard, nor has entered into our hearts, the things that God has prepared for us.
However, it sure is fun and exciting to imagine. Isn’t it?
